Introduction
Department of Ear Nose Throat is functional in PGICH since December 2015. Since then, it has evolved itself in patient care by providing quality care to the patients visiting the out patient department as well as In Patient Department. Also, it is providing round the clock emergency services. All routine as well as emergency services pertaining to Ear Nose Throat are being done by the team eg: Tympanoplasty (microscopic and endoscopic), mastoidectomy, myringotomy, surgeries for adenoid and tonsil, congenital pre auricular sinus, branchial sinus, septoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, removal of foreign bodies from food pipe(esophagus), ear, nose, surgical management of abscess etc.
Patient Services
OPDs, admission facilities for planned surgeries like adenoidectomy & tonsillectomy, sinus surgery, surgery for perforated ear drum and bone eroding disease of ear (unsafe CSOM) and emergency conditions (foreign bodies, abscess) diagnostic facilities like pure tone audiometry, nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy.

Q- How should I clean my ear with earbuds?
A- Do not use earbuds rather consult ENT surgeon if there is any discomfort in the ear.
Q- My kid has tonsils, what to do?
A- Tonsils are normally present, only when they are infected or they are too big causing difficulty in breathing you need to consult the doctor.
Q- My child has not started speaking, will it help if I get tongue tie released?
A- Get hearing assessment done, a good hearing is needed to get good development of speech.
Q- Shall we use oil drops in ear?
A- No, oil is not to be put in ear.
