Introduction

The Department of Pathology, PGICH was started in the year 2015 with expansion in the year 2016-17.

The department has come a long way, growing slowly yet steadily in its effort to achieve its objectives of providing a holistic diagnostic facility for the pediatric population and providing teaching, training, and research in the field of Paediatric Pathology.

Currently, the department provides diagnostic facilities in- Histopathology including Immunohistochemistry, Frozen Section, Cytopathology, Hematopathology, Specialized Hematology, and Clinical Pathology, supervised by pathologist with expertise and experience in their respective field of diagnostic research and medical education.

  • The department has been accredited by the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences to start academic programme of DNB Pathology from session 2023- Two seats/year (1 primary DNB seat (post MBBS) and 1 Secondary DNB post Diploma

  • Internship of Paramedical students- started in 2018
